As part of the Flight Attendant recruitment process, many airlines require interested candidates to complete pre-qualification training. First Air utilizes Inflight Institute’s online Cabin Crew Training Program to prepare potential Flight Attendants for hire.
The program is an internet based self-study course, supported by subject matter experts and mentors working at First Air, The Airline of the North.
The Airline Foundations program curriculum provided pre-employment training and an overview of aviation customer service careers to help candidates understand the employment opportunities within the airline industry. Five graduates have already joined our team as Customer Service Station Agents in their home communities. We are working with the remaining graduates to identify more specialized training paths to help them achieve their goals of a future career in aviation.
On July 20th, First Air, Qikiqtani First Aviation and Sakku First Aviation celebrated the achievements of 14 graduates who successfully completed the inaugural Airline Foundations training program in Iqaluit.
